Description: "This is tangible. This is a monumental step toward change."

A week ago, I said these words to a reporter from USA Today. And with every fiber of my being, I meant them.

Last week, we completed the first NO MORE PSA shoot with NFL players. It was a remarkable two days for us as current and former NFL players stepped forward to take part in the groundbreaking NO MORE PSA campaign, created by Rachel Howald at Young & Rubicam. The shoots in Dallas, Los Angeles and New York brought together a team from NO MORE, Joyful Heart, and Viacom, as well as photographer Timothy White, to engage these new and powerful voices in this campaign.

We were able to start off this extraordinary effort with NY Giants Eli Manning and Mark Herzlick, and NFL executive (and former defensive back) Troy Vincent in New York.
It's the realization of a dream we shared three weeks ago when the NFL first aired the "Anthem" PSA during Thursday Night Football. We were watching together, and we both said out loud, "What about a spot with the players?"

That night, the moment "Anthem" had aired, Twitter lit up. The emails and texts started coming. And then, the players started reaching out. They wanted to be involved, to speak out, to play a part in bringing change.

Our dream very quickly became a reality: a shoot in three cities with NFL players. We were in New York, with Tate Donovan directing in Dallas and Blair Underwood in Los Angeles. Both Tate and Blair have already lent their voices to the first NO MORE spots, and we were deeply honored to have them engage in a new way in this campaign.
We're also so grateful to have Viacom as our production partner, working with us to produce the spots in all three locations.

What we saw in these shoots moved us deeply. Brave, strong and authentic men, standing up for each other, for the people they love, for their partners, wives, husbands, children, friends, mothers and fathers, teammates, for people they've never met, for themselves. Some players came because they had personally experienced violence and abuse and wanted to speak out. Others came because they wanted take a lead in bringing change. By the end of the day, 23 men of the NFL had given us their voices, their commitment, and, perhaps most significantly, a new and deeply stirring expression of their formidable power.

Men standing up and speaking out—men saying NO MORE—marks tangible change. We can't express how grateful we are to the leaders we were so honored to meet.
These new spots will premiere during Thursday Night Football in just a few days—October 23rd. Viacom has also committed to running them on its screens Times Square—at the crossroads of the world—where we want these issues to be seen and discussed.

We are encouraged, and full of anticipation for all that is to come. Thank you for standing with us.

With gratitude and joy,
Mariska Maile
